Another TGIS! My stitches (ew) from my foot surgery come out tomorrow, so have no fear, I'll be back on my feet and back to you this week, my loves. I've had a great weekend, strolling ( enthusiastically limping) around Brooklyn with girlfriends, reading, cracking open the Rose at lunchtime. All the good things. As I write to you, I'm sitting on my bed with a cat on my lap. The trees are whispering in the breeze, shards of afternoon light are flitting across the walls and there's a chicken roasting in the oven ready for family and friends. A good Sunday. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead. My best of the net below.

Wow, dude

Amazing travel advice from Anthony Bourdain

I'm currently on an Alice Neel kick. She's famous for her portraits, but I'm rather partial to her windows.

This song came on at a bar I was in the other day, reminding me of its awesomeness. It also happens to be the best song ever written about a one-night stand, in my humble opinion.

If you happen to be one of the like, four people who haven't yet listened to Tom Hank's Desert Island Discs, you must. It was predictably amazing
