This weekend was jam packed. On Friday night I headed to my friend Erika's apartment for a girls-only dinner party. I met a diverse group of kick ass women- from doulas to florists to fashion designers (the girls only dinner is just SUCH a good idea- I left with amazing new friends that I'm excited to get to know better this year). Saturday, we went to a friend's house for a Raclette dinner, which was a first for me and Isaac. Have you ever been to one? So fun. There's something so magical and convivial about pushing those little dishes of cheese into the special grill, and passing potatoes and cold cuts around the table- I mean, can you go wrong with melted cheese and red wine? Vive la France! I've already got my eye on a raclette machine to call my own. On Sunday our kitchen was filled with good smells and good friends as Isaac and I hosted our taco party. It was a roaring success- and so fun to have an early dinner/drinks party on a Sunday night, which I usually find a pretty depressing time of the week.

Below are some (desperately blurry, it's the tequila's fault) photos from the taco party, if you'd like to see.

We spread everything on the table, and I made home made cards to help our guests figure out what they were eating

At least I figured out a photo was happening. Yes that is a penis above our heads. It's one of our favorite paintings, by our dear friend and incredible artist, Despina Stokou.
