Living for the Weekend: 24/1/15

January is the cruellest month. The holidays are long gone, the big beckoning bully that is February is all that is next. It's cold. Grey. You've got no cash and everyone that does is instagramming photos from weekend breaks to Aruba. Damn them, and damn January. This weekend I woke up feeling utterly defeated and then, in turn, determined to do all that I could to keep my spirits high, which, in this instance, led (naturally) to joyfully petting fat sheep in Prospect Park Zoo and conducting elaborate baking projects in my most tiny but terribly compliant kitchenette.  On this Monday, officially noted as the most depressing day of the year (weeps) I can look back at this weekend  with at least a little fondness, and remember that January will soon be over. We got this, okay?

So porny. These were so delicious I had to give them away to stop me from eating the entire batch.
